Accessibility Statement
United Shield Alliance is committed to making our website usable for everyone, including people with disabilities.
Last updated: June 2026
United Shield Alliance is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to make sure we provide equal access to all users.
Our Standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.
Measures We Take
- Semantic, structured HTML so screen readers can navigate the site.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images and icons.
- Full keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators and a "skip to content" link.
- Clear labels, required-field indicators, and accessible error messages on all forms.
- Color contrast chosen to meet AA guidelines, and a layout that is fully responsive on phones, tablets, and desktops.
- Respect for the "reduced motion" setting for visitors who prefer minimal animation.
Ongoing Effort
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We regularly review the site and work to address areas that can be improved. Some content from third parties (such as carrier websites linked from our Carriers page) is outside our direct control.
